The University System of Taiwan is a network
system connecting four distinguished research-oriented universities in Taiwan,
including National Chiao Tung University (國立交通大學), National Tsing Hua University (國立清華大學),
National Central University (國立中央大學) and National Yang Ming University (國立陽明大學).
IACS-UST connects four distinguished
research-oriented universities in Taiwan and highlights four curriculum
clusters: Critical Theory and Asian Modernity, Contemporary Thought-trends and Social Movements, Gender/Sexuality Studies, and Visual CultureStudies. Admitted students are required to choose one
specialized area of interest but may take courses from any of the four course
clusters organized by the program. Run by a diverse community of scholars that
are committed to intellectual inquiry, IACS offers, in addition to regular
course work, various thematic seminars, workshops and international conferences
throughout each academic year.
With a pool of 72 outstanding teachers in
the humanities and social sciences, IACS offers an ideal environment for students
who are interested in the socio-historical-political-cultural studies of Asia
in the global context.This program is designed for:
· Students whose interests cut across
traditional modes of study in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
· Students who intend to develop
sophisticated understandings of various cultural forms and practices through
studying diverse cultural texts in critical context
· Students preparing for professional careers
in government and cultural organization.
To students with outstanding academic
profiles, we offer grants up to 10,000 NTD per month.

International Program in Inter-Asia Cultural Studies 2016 before
