National Taipei University of Technology Presidential Candidates Search Announcement
一、公開徵求本校校長候選人，任期四年，得連任一次。
1. National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) is openly inviting nominations and applications for the position of President. The President shall serve a term of four years and may be re-elected for a second term.
二、本校校長候選人除應符合教育人員任用條例規定大學校長資格外，尚須具備下列條件：
（一）前瞻性之教育理念及科技、人文兼容之素養。
（二）公認的學術成就與聲望。
（三）高尚的道德情操與民主風範。
（四）具卓越規劃、組織及領導能力。
（五）有爭取及妥善運用資源之能力。
（六）充分尊重學術自由。
（七）不得兼任政黨職務。
本校校長候選人應超越政治、宗教、黨派等利益，以書面承諾於擔任校長期間，不得兼任任何政黨職務。
本校校長候選人並應承諾於擔任校長期間將全力為教育貢獻、為社會服務，個人有關之利益，如待遇、福利、任期等，除法令明文規定者外，絕不尋求利己性之變更。
2. Candidates shall meet the qualifications for university president stated in the Ministry of Education’s Act of Governing the Appointment of Educators. Eligible candidates shall also meet the following requirements:
(1). Shall possess vision for education, technology literacy, and humanistic literacy;
(2). Shall possess widely recognized academic achievements and reputation;
(3). Shall possess integrity and democratic leadership;
(4). Shall possess excellent planning and organization skills and leadership;
(5). Shall fight for and optimize use of resources;
(6). Shall respect academic freedom;
(7). Shall be fair-minded, free to political and religion interests and not take post in any political party during the presidential term.
(8). Shall be dedicated to education and society. And shall not amend regulations related to personal interest such as pay, welfare, and term for one’s own benefit expect for what is already stated in the law during presidential term.
Number (7) and (8) are stated in the Letter of Commitment.
三、校長候選人除自行參選者外，接受推薦方式如下：
（一）本校編制內專任講師以上教師十人以上連署推薦。
（二）國內、外大學或學術研究機構專任教師或研究人員十人以上之連署推薦。
（三）本校校友二十人以上連署推薦。
（四）本校校長遴選委員會委員推薦。
3. In addition to self-registration, a candidate shall be recommended in one of the following ways:
(1). By a joint signing of at least ten Taipei Tech full-time faculties(instructor and above);
(2). By a joint signing of at least ten full-time (research) faculties in universities or academic institutions in Taiwan and abroad;
(3). By a joint signing of at least twenty Taipei Tech alumni;
(4). By Committee member(s).
四、自行參選或被推薦為校長候選人應填寫並提供下列各項資料，供本會公開陳列及審查：
（一）個人基本資料
（二）著作、作品或發明目錄
（三）學術獎勵及榮譽事蹟
（四）治校理念摘要
（五）承諾書
4. All candidates shall submit the following documents for Committee’s open display and review:
(1). Personal information form;
(2). List of publications, works or inventions;
(3). Academic awards and honors;
(4). Abstract of school governance philosophy;
(5). Letter of commitment.
五、凡有意參選或推薦之個人或團體，請至本校網站首頁（http://election.ntut.edu.tw）點選「第14任校長遴選」專區下載相關規定及表件，備妥推薦表1份、校長候選人資料表19份及相關資料(校長候選人資料表word電子檔請寄至julian@ntut.edu.tw何淑瑜組長信箱)，於民國106年7月21日(星期五)下午5時前以掛號或快遞郵件或派員遞交相關資料表件至國立臺北科技大學（10608）臺北市忠孝東路三段1號人事室收，逾期恕不受理(截止日下午5時前以寄、送達本校收發單位時間為準)。候選人繳交之表件及資料恕不退還，由本校依校長遴選辦法及個人資料保護法逕行處理。
5. Please refer to relevant regulations and download documents at the 14th Presidential Election Section on Taipei Tech’s official website (http://election.ntut.edu.tw). Candidate shall summit 1 copy of the National Taipei University of Technology President Nomination Form, 19 copies of the 14th Taipei Tech Presidential Candidate Information Form (Word document of the 14th Taipei Tech Presidential Candidate Information Form should be send to Chief Officer Miss Shu-Yu Ho at: julian@ntut.edu.tw) and relevant documents. The submission must be registered mailed or delivered to the mailing address below and received by 5:00 pm on July 21, 2017. All submitted documents will not be returned and will be directly handled by the University under the regulations for Presidential Election of National Taipei University of Technology and the Personal Information Protection Act.
